Rice drives forward with the ball to push into the final third, while Zubimendi helps to progress through the thirds with his passing range. Ødegaard operates in the half spaces to create chances and find the feet of the attackers.

Arsenal uses two forwards in a partnership to occupy the opposition center backs. Havertz plays as a pressing centre forward, often dropping deep to link up play with the midfielders. Gyökeres acts as a more direct presence, looking to make runs in behind or hold up the ball to bring others into play. This front two works to pin the last defender and create space for the late runners arriving from the midfield.
