The midfield functions as a central block designed to dominate the middle of the park and press aggressively. Bradley plays in a single pivot role to shield the defense and win the second ball. Beside him, Kerkez and Szoboszlai act as two central midfielders who drive forward with the ball to link the lines. Gravenberch operates in the central area to recycle possession and find the feet of the attackers. This midfield group works to compress the midfield and squeeze the space between the lines to prevent the opposition from playing through the thirds.

Liverpool utilizes four attackers to stretch the defense and create constant chaos. Wirtz and Isak operate as two forwards in a partnership, with Wirtz looking to find space between the lines while Isak looks to run in behind.
