Taho sits between the posts to command the area and organize the defensive unit. The back four functions as a flat back four that can step up to set the offside trap. BALLO operates as an attacking full back on the right to provide width, while MARELLO plays as an attacking full back on the left to push high into the final third. In the middle, STANTE and BOVIO act as the central defenders, with STANTE covering the space and BOVIO maintaining a high line to keep the team compact.

The midfield relies on a single pivot system to control the center of the pitch. BOVO sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and collect the ball from the defenders. MANCUSO operates as an inverted eight, looking to drive forward with the ball and link the lines, while BERENBRUCH works to connect the defense to the attack by finding pockets of space. This three man midfield aims to win the second ball and quickly recycle possession to move the ball through the thirds.

The attacking unit utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the opposition. SPINACCÈ acts as a pressing centre-forward, leading the line by harrying the defenders to force a long ball. ZOUIN plays as an inverted winger on the left, cutting inside to find goal scoring opportunities, while MOSCONI acts as an inverted winger on the right to create threats from wide areas. These forwards work to pin the last defender and create runs in behind through quick combinations.

Inter gains a significant advantage through the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, the team can win it back high up the pitch and catch the opposition in transition.
