Josep Provedel stays between the posts to organize the back line. The formation utilizes a flat back four where Bisseck acts as a defensive wing back on the right to provide cover. Bastoni operates as a ball playing defender on the left, capable of stepping into midfield to help progress the ball. Akanji provides strength in the center alongside Bastoni, often acting as a covering defender to sweep behind a high line. Dimarco pushes high on the left to support the attack, which requires the central defenders to hold the line when the team is caught on the break.

The midfield operates as a double pivot to provide stability. Barella works as a carrier to drive forward with the ball and connects the defensive and attacking lines. Stankovic acts as the shield for the defence, sitting deeper to intercept passes and win the second ball. This pair must be disciplined to avoid leaving the central defenders exposed. They work to compress the midfield and ensure they can recycle possession when the front four are marked out of the game.

Inter employs four attackers to overwhelm the opponent. Lautaro works as a pressing centre forward, using his intensity to force long balls from the opposition. Sucic plays as a second striker in the hole to link up with Lautaro and find space between the lines. On the flanks, Ndoye and Diouf act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create width. They look to get to the byline and deliver early crosses into the box for Lautaro or Sucic to attack the far post.

A major tactical strength of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using four attackers, Inter can pin the last defender and force turnovers in dangerous areas.
