Boca prioritizes a compact defensive block and quick transitions through a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep when out of possession and use the verticality of the wing backs to stretch the pitch during attacks. Oliveros guards the goal as the last line of defense. Cruz operates as an attacking wing back on the right to provide width, while Dos Santos plays as an attacking wing back on the left to support the flanks. Ruffini acts as the central anchor to clear the lines, while Bralo and Baccaro work to cover the space and win the second ball.

The midfield works as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative spark. Sasaki and Ramirez occupy the central roles to shield the defense and press in a mid-block. Ramirez works to intercept passes and recycle possession, while Sasaki drives forward with the ball to link the lines. Priori plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to find pockets of space and play through the lines. This group connects the defensive unit to the front two, ensuring the team can progress through the thirds once the ball is won.

Boca uses two forwards in a partnership to lead the attack. Lema acts as the primary striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender, allowing Acuña to play as a second striker who can move into the channels. The two attackers press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. When attacking, Cruz and Dos Santos push high to provide wide options, creating overlaps for the forwards.
