Boca focuses on a heavy defensive presence and rapid transitions using a 5-4-1 formation. OLIVEROS acts as the last line of defense in goal. The defensive unit works as a back five with Bralo, Baccaro, and Flores forming a central trio. Baccaro and Flores provide the physical presence to win the header when the opposition crosses, while Bralo acts as the central anchor. Dos Santos operates as a left wing back to provide width, and Priori plays as a right wing back to help cover the flanks. The defensive unit stays narrow to protect the central area, forcing teams to play wide and away from the danger zone.

The midfield functions as a flat four to maintain a compact shape. Ruffini sits in front of the back five as a single pivot to shield the defense and intercept passes. To his sides, Ramirez and Sasaki operate as two central midfielders who work to win the second ball and disrupt the opponent. Acuña plays in the hole as an attacking midfielder, connecting the hard working midfield to the lone striker. This midfield unit works together to squeeze the space between the lines and prevent the opposition from playing through the thirds.

Boca utilizes a lone striker in Ojeda to lead the line. Ojeda acts as a pressing centre forward to harass the opponent back line and force long balls. Because the team lacks multiple forwards, the attack relies on Ojeda to hold up the ball and wait for support. The width comes from Dos Santos and Priori who push up the flanks to deliver crosses. The team looks to move the ball quickly from the midfield to the wide areas or directly to Ojeda to start a break.

A major strength of this lineup is its ability to maintain compactness when defending. The narrow defensive block and the four man midfield make it very hard for opponents to find gaps. Another advantage is the speed of transition, as the team can shift from a low block to a vertical attack very quickly. The presence of Dos Santos and Priori allows for wide overloads when the team moves forward to support the attack.
