Boca focuses on a heavy defensive presence combined with quick transitions, utilizing a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to stay compact when out of possession and then strike with speed through the wide areas and the central striker. The team looks to deny space in the middle of the pitch, forcing opponents to play around the flanks where the defensive unit can squeeze the space.

Oliveros acts as the last line of defense in goal. The defensive unit operates with a back five featuring Ruffini as the central leader of the line. Baccaro and Bralo sit on either side of Ruffini to provide a strong central block, while Dos Santos and Cruz act as attacking wing backs.
