Inter plays a vertical style of football designed to punish opponents in transition through a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup focuses on rapid ball movement and quick transitions to overwhelm the opposition once the ball is won. The tactical identity is built around controlling central areas while utilizing wide players to stretch the opposition.

Josep starts in goal to oversee the defensive unit. A back three forms the base of the defense with Akanji acting as the central defender to command the line. Bastoni plays as the left centre-back and is a ball playing defender who can step up into midfield to help build play. Bisseck operates as the right centre-back to provide cover and stability. This defensive unit works to hold a high line and squeeze the space between the lines.

The midfield operates with a central pairing that connects the defense to the attack. Barella works in the right central midfield role and drives forward with the ball to create chaos. Zielinski occupies the left central midfield position to help recycle possession and find passing lanes. The wide midfielders provide the necessary width as Dimarco plays on the left and Spence operates on the right. Dimarco often acts as an attacking wing back to provide crosses while Spence helps cover the flank and support the central players.

The attacking front line uses three attackers to pin the last defender. Lautaro acts as the main striker and focuses on finding the feet of the striker to hold up the ball and link up play. M.Thuram plays on the left wing and looks to cut inside to create goal scoring chances. Sucic occupies the right wing to provide width and deliver early balls into the box. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and win the ball back high up the pitch.

Inter gains a massive advantage through wide overloads from the overlapping runs of Dimarco and Spence. This formation creates numerical superiority in the half spaces when the wingers tuck inside. The ability to press in a mid-block allows the team to win the second ball and launch immediate attacks. These quick transitions allow the team to exploit gaps behind the opposition defense.
