This back two must be extremely fast to handle long balls played into the channels.

The midfield operates as a double pivot paired with two attacking midfielders. Hakimi and Digne form the double pivot to control the center, with Hakimi often looking to carry the ball forward and Digne working to intercept play. Ahead of them, F. Ruiz and Vitinha play as two tens in the half spaces. Vitinha uses his passing range to progress through the thirds, while F. Ruiz looks to find pockets of space to connect the midfield to the front four.

PSG employs four attackers to stretch the defence through the width and central presence. Kvaratskhelia and Akliouche play as wide wingers who cut inside to cause chaos, while Dembélé and Ferran act as a central partnership. Dembélé uses his dribbling style to beat defenders one on one, whereas Ferran works to hold up the ball and link up play with the runners. The front four press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers massive numerical superiority in the attacking third, making it hard for opponents to defend the width.
