Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
PRINCE · VIVAAN · RUPENDRA · ARYAN · JOSEPH · SHOURYA · HARDIK · PRANAV · JASON · ZUALA · TEJASThis team aims to play a direct and high tempo game through a 4-2-4 formation. The lineup prioritizes verticality and offensive pressure to overwhelm the opposition. By pushing many players forward, the team looks to win the ball back high up the pitch and attack the goal with maximum numbers.
Vivaan operates between the posts to command his area. The defensive unit sits in a flat back four where Tejas acts as the right back and Pranav plays as the left back. Zuala and Jason form the central pairing, with Zuala providing cover while Jason handles man to man duties. The full backs are expected to push up to support the attack, which requires the central defenders to hold the line and cover the space behind them when the team loses possession.
The midfield operates as a double pivot to provide a platform for the attackers. Shourya and Hardik work to shield the defense and recycle possession when the team builds from the back. Hardik often looks to carry the ball forward to connect the defensive line to the front four, while Shourya maintains a central position to intercept passes and prevent counter attacks. This pair must remain disciplined to avoid leaving the back four exposed during transitions.
The attacking line uses two forwards in a partnership alongside wide wingers to stretch the defense. Prince and Rupendra act as the central strikers, working together to pin the last defender and compete for second balls. On the flanks, Aryan and Joseph act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. This front four is designed to press the opposition back line relentlessly, forcing errors that allow the team to break quickly.
One major advantage of this lineup is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs join the wingers. The team can also achieve numerical superiority in the final third, making it very difficult for opponents to defend the box. This heavy attacking presence allows for quick transitions and puts immediate pressure on the opposition goalkeeper and defenders.
This 4-2-4 formation is built for a high pressing game that seeks to punish opponents through sheer offensive volume. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to chase a goal or face an opponent that struggles to defend in wide areas.
