Mald and via act as the central defenders, with Mald focusing on covering and via acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks. void plays as the left back to provide width, while tan operates at right back to tuck in or overlap when needed. The whole defensive unit works to keep the team compact and trigger a press as soon as the ball enters their half.

The midfield operates with a double pivot of vade and redd who sit in front of the defense. redd and vade work to shield the back four and win the second ball, while also looking to progress through the thirds. Ahead of them, gojo and benes occupy the half spaces as advanced midfielders. gojo looks to create from deep and find pockets of space, while benes seeks to arrive late into the box to add an extra threat. This midfield group connects the defensive block to the front two through quick passing.

In the attacking third, the team uses two forwards in a partnership. shaodw plays as the lone striker who works to pin the last defender and link up play between the lines. vipgmr operates as the second striker, looking to run in behind or cut inside to find scoring opportunities. The wide players and the midfielders push high to support them, creating movements like cutbacks from the byline and runs in behind. This front line presses from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

One major strength of this 4-4-2 is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, with the forwards and midfielders acting together to hunt the ball. The formation also offers great speed of transition when the double pivot of vade and redd win possession.
