Junior Mandza works to shield the defence and intercept passes, while Mouzakitis looks to carry the ball forward and link play. Together, they work to press in a mid-block and win it back high up the pitch to trigger an attack.

In the attacking third, Juventus uses three attackers across the front. Sorloth acts as a pressing centre forward, using his strength to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the wings, Yildiz and Conceicao act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring opportunities. Yildiz looks to dribble in tight spaces while Conceicao aims to get to the byline and deliver early crosses.
