TBD sits alongside Mattson to protect the centre and win the second ball. On the left, Elyounoussi operates in the half spaces to connect the lines and carry the ball forward. TBD plays on the right to provide support and cut off the passing lane for the opposition.

The attack uses two forwards in a partnership to pin the last defender. Dadasson leads the line as a pressing centre forward to trigger a press from the front. Moukoko plays as the second striker in the hole to find the feet of the striker or make runs in behind. This duo works to combine in tight spaces and create chances through quick combinations. When the team wins the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition.

A major strength of FC København is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. This creates heavy pressure on the opposition goalkeeper and defenders. The formation also offers wide overloads when Huescas and López push up to support the wingers. This allows the team to switch play quickly and isolate wide players in one on one situations.
