Starting Lineup

Rosario Central looks to win the ball back high up the pitch and strike with verticality using a 5-2-3. This formation relies on heavy pressing and quick transitions to catch opponents off guard. The lineup is built to defend in a deep block when necessary but thrives when they can squeeze the space and play through the lines to the attackers.

Ledesma acts as the last line of defense behind a back five. Ibarra sits central to anchor the defense, flanked by Avila and Ovando. Avila and Ovando are tasked with covering the space behind the wing backs. Sandez and Coronel act as attacking wing backs who push high up the pitch to provide width. The defensive unit must stay compact to deny the turn and show the striker outside.

The midfield utilizes a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Rodriguez and Pizarro work to shield the defense and win the second ball. Pizarro often acts to intercept passes, while Rodriguez looks to carry the ball forward to connect the lines. This pair must be disciplined to ensure the team does not get bypassed in the middle when the wing backs push high.

Rosario Central employs three attackers to stretch the defense. Copetti acts as a pressing centre-forward who leads the line by forcing long balls. Di Maria operates as an inverted winger on the right, frequently cutting inside to create chances or pick up runners. Campaz plays on the left to provide width and whip it in toward the middle. These three work in combinations to hit in behind on the transition.

One major advantage for Rosario Central is the ability to create wide overloads when Sandez and Coronel join the attack. The team also benefits from their ability to press in a mid-block to force errors near the opponent's goal. The combination of a solid back five and quick wingers makes them very difficult to play through.
