In the center, Varane and Buffalo work as a two man partnership. Varane acts as a target man to win the header and hold up the ball, while Buffalo looks to make runs in behind to exploit the space. The goal is to use combinations in tight spaces and deliver early crosses to catch the opposition defense off guard.
