They are responsible for connecting the back four to the four attackers by playing short from the back or hitting in behind on the transition.

Japan utilizes four attackers to create constant chaos in the opposition box. Pravin plays as the left winger to provide width and whip it in from the flank, while Sagar occupies the right winger role to cut inside and look for goal. Sunil operates as a central forward to find the feet of the striker and link up with the others. Nima leads the line as a pressing centre forward to force a long ball from the opponent. This attacking group looks to spread wide and create combinations in tight spaces to split the defense with a through ball.
