Levante Football Formation
Starting Lineup
MATHEW (RYAN) · JEREMY (TOLJAN) · AÏSSA (MANDI) · ADRIÁN (DELA) · MANU (SÁNCHEZ) · ENZO (BARDELI) · HUGO (SOTELO) · CARLOS (ÁLVAREZ) · KARL ETTA (EYONG) · KAREEM (TUNDE) · IVÁN (ROMERO)Levante focuses on a high press and verticality using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move the play forward quickly to catch the opposition out of position. The team relies on aggressive movements to stretch the defence and create chances through rapid transitions.
MATHEW acts as the last line of defence in goal. The back line operates as a flat back four that can step up to set the offside trap. ADRIÁN and AÏSSA work as the central pair, with AÏSSA covering the space while ADRIÁN looks to intercept passes. MANU plays as an attacking full back to provide width on the left, while JEREMY holds his position more often to balance the line. The defensive unit works to squeeze the space and deny the turn to opposing attackers.
The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten behind the striker. CARLOS plays as the advanced midfielder to operate in the pockets between the lines. ENZO and HUGO occupy the central areas to connect the defence and attack. ENZO works to shield the defence and recycle possession, while HUGO drives forward with the ball to carry it into the final third. This trio aims to compress the midfield and win the second ball to keep the pressure high.
Levante uses three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. IVÁN acts as the lone striker, looking to find the feet of the striker and hold up the ball for others. KAREEM plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create space, while KARL ETTA stays wide on the right to stretch the defence. These forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. The attack relies on combinations to split the defence with a through ball or a quick pass to the byline.
This lineup offers the advantage of being able to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, Levante can win it back high up the pitch. The wide players KAREEM and KARL ETTA help to create wide overloads when MANU and JEREMY push up. This setup allows Levante to maintain high intensity and hit in behind on the transition.
The 4-3-3 formation provides Levante with a high intensity pressing identity. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
