The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier. MARC and MARTIM occupy the central spaces to control the tempo, with MARC looking to recycle possession and MARTIM driving forward with the ball to break the line. FACUNDO plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, finding pockets of space between the lines to connect the midfield and the attack. This unit works to squeeze the space in the middle and win it back high up the pitch.

The attacking front line features three attackers across the front. TETE and LUCAS act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create numerical superiority in central areas. TETE looks to drive at defenders before laying it off, while LUCAS aims to isolate his marker in one on one situations. EZEQUIEL acts as a pressing centre-forward, leading the line by forcing long balls and making runs in behind to stretch the defence.

One tactical advantage for Elche is the ability to create wide overloads when GERMÁN and BUBA push up to overlap the wingers. The team also benefits from the speed of transition, using the movement of FACUNDO to link play quickly once the ball is won.
