Osasuna focuses on a vertical style of play through a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup seeks to win the ball high up the pitch and hit the opposition quickly in transition. The team aims to stretch the defence by using wide players to create space for central runners.

Sergio stays between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back four operates as a flat defensive unit to maintain compactness. Diego plays as the left back to provide width, while Valentin acts as the right back to support the flanks. In the middle, Alejandro and Enzo form the central pairing, where Alejandro covers space while Enzo focuses on winning the second ball. This unit works together to hold the line and squeeze the space between the lines.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier to move the ball forward. Jon and Lucas operate in the central areas to protect the back four and recycle possession. Jon works to shield the defence while Lucas looks to carry the ball forward into the half spaces. Aimar plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, acting as the link to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Aimar looks to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines to break the opposition.

Osasuna uses three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Ante acts as the lone striker and works to hold up the ball and find teammates. On the wings, Jonathan and Moi act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to spread the play. Jonathan and Moi often look to cut inside to create a central presence. The front three press from the front to force a long ball and win it back high up the pitch.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. Osasuna can create wide overloads from the full backs joining the wingers. The presence of Aimar allows the team to achieve numerical superiority in the central areas when the wingers move inside. This setup also allows the team to transition very quickly once the ball is won in the midfield.

The 4-3-3 formation allows Osasuna to remain aggressive in both attack and defence. This lineup is best suited for games against teams that play a high line and can be caught on the break.
