Fardan (Brazil) · Tamim (Atl. Tucumán) · Wasim (Atl. Tucumán) · Nuzair (Atl. Tucumán) · Rafi (Atl. Tucumán) · Uzair (Atl. Tucumán) · Nur (Atl. Tucumán) · Shayan (Atl. Tucumán) · Safwat (Atl. Tucumán) · Jafar (Atl. Tucumán) · Affan (Atl. Tucumán)Focusing on a heavy defensive block and quick transitions, this team operates within a 5-3-2 formation. The lineup is built to remain compact and difficult to break down while looking to hit opponents on the break. Every player must remain disciplined to maintain the shape required for this system to work effectively.
Affan sits between the posts to organize the defense from the back. The back line consists of a central trio with Uzair acting as the main anchor to hold the line. Safwat and Shayan play as the wide centre-backs to cover the channels and provide support when the wing backs push up. Nur and Jafar act as attacking wing backs, tasked with providing width and stretching the opposition. This defensive unit works together to squeeze the space and protect the middle.
In the middle of the pitch, a three-man midfield works to control the central zone. Rafi plays as a single pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. Wasim and Nuzair operate as the two central midfielders to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Wasim and Nuzair look to carry the ball forward and find the attackers, while Rafi stays deep to deny the pivot of the opposition.
The attacking unit utilizes two forwards in a partnership to pressure the opposition back line. Fardan and Tamim work close together to combine in tight spaces and find runs in behind. They press from the front to force long balls and win possession high up the pitch. When the wing backs like Nur and Jafar overlap, Fardan and Tamim can spread wide to isolate defenders or stay central to receive layoffs and turn towards goal.
This formation offers the advantage of compactness when defending in a mid-block. It also creates wide overloads when the wing backs join the attack to create numerical superiority. The speed of transition allows the team to move from a deep block to an attacking stance very quickly.
The team relies on a solid defensive foundation and rapid counter attacks to win games. This setup is best suited for facing teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their high defensive line.
