This setup aims to frustrate the opposition by keeping a very narrow defensive block and waiting for the right moment to exploit space behind the defense.

Samrat stays between the posts to command the area. The back five functions as a deep defensive line where Aarav sits central to organize the unit. Jenin and Subin act as the wide centre-backs to cover the channels, while Asbin and Samir play as attacking wing backs to provide width. Asbin and Samir are tasked to push up when the team has the ball, but they must track back quickly to maintain the five man line. The defenders work to defend zonally and ensure the space between the lines is closed.

The midfield operates as a flat four to protect the center of the pitch. Bidit and Redam occupy the central roles to shield the defence and win the second ball. Bidit works to break the line with passes while Redam focuses on recycling possession to keep the team organized. On the flanks, Rishi and Semon play as wide midfielders to cover the entire wing. Rishi and Semon must track back to help the wing backs and prevent overlaps from the opposition. This midfield group works to squeeze the space and force a long ball from the opponent.

Pm acts as a lone striker to lead the line. As a pressing centre forward, Pm works to disrupt the opposition build up and pin the last defender. The attacking plan relies on Pm to hold up the ball and lay it off to the oncoming midfielders. When the team wins the ball, Rishi and Semon look to spread wide to stretch the defence. The goal is to use the width provided by the wing backs and the runners from midfield to create chances through quick transitions.

This formation offers great compactness when defending a lead. By sitting deep, the team makes it very difficult for opponents to find gaps in the middle. The combination of a five man back line and a compact midfield makes it hard to play through the lines. Another strength is the ability to use the wing backs to provide width during a counter attack, creating immediate threats on the flanks.
