Starting Lineup

Kadu · Komang · Mendonca · Achmad F · Caxambu · Rivaldo P · Bloom · Juan Villa · N'goma · Redzuaan · Rubio

Borneo FC relies on a high press and quick transitions within a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move the play forward rapidly to catch the opposition before they can set a defensive block. The goal is to use constant movement to stretch the defence and create space for creative players to operate.

Kadu plays between the posts to anchor the defensive unit. The back line operates as a flat back four where Achmad F acts as a full back to provide width while Caxambu pushes up to support the attack. In the middle, Komang and Mendonca act as the central defensive pair, with Komang often looking to win the header and Mendonca acting to cover the space behind. This unit works to maintain a high line to squeeze the space and keep the opposition pinned in their own half.

The midfield functions as a three man midfield with a carrier and a creative link. Bloom and Rivaldo P occupy the central roles to control the tempo and press aggressively to win the ball back in the middle third. Juan Villa operates as an attacking ten behind the striker, playing in the pockets of space to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Rivaldo P works to drive forward with the ball to break the line, while Bloom helps to shield the defence when the team loses possession.

Borneo FC employs three attackers across the front to create constant pressure. Rubio acts as the lone striker, working to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Redzuaan and N'goma act as inverted wingers who cut inside to search for goal scoring opportunities. These wide players pull wide to stretch the defence before making runs in behind. This attacking trio is designed to work in combinations, using quick passing to move the ball around the final defender.

One major advantage for Borneo FC is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The team also benefits from wide overloads when Achmad F and Caxambu overlap the wingers to create extra passing lanes. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking third and forces the opposition to defend deep.

This 4-3-3 formation is a high intensity system that relies on quick recovery of the ball. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play under pressure and prefer a slower build up.
