Bahia employs a lone striker in A. Véliz to lead the line. Véliz acts as a pressing centre forward to force a long ball from the opposition defense. The attacking unit relies on the midfielders to drive forward and support the striker, creating a situation where the wide midfielders can cut inside or pull wide to stretch the defense. The goal is to use short passing to build in triangles and find the feet of the striker in tight spaces.
