Nitesh (Goalkeeper) (ATK Mohun Bagan) · Soumaydip (ST) (Arsenal) · Biprojit (LW) (Arsenal) · Subhradip (RW) (Arsenal) · Rangan (CM) (Arsenal) · Trishir (CM) (Arsenal) · Souradeep (CDM) (Arsenal) · Hasan (CB) (Arsenal) · Ritam (CB) (Arsenal) · Ayush Raj (RB) (Arsenal) · Ayush Mahato (LB) (Arsenal)

Focusing on rapid transitions and heavy wing play, the team operates in a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to hit teams on the break while maintaining a very compact defensive block when out of possession. The aim is to absorb pressure and then quickly exploit the space behind the opposition full backs.

Nitesh stays between the posts to organize the back five. Souradeep sits in the middle of the defensive line to act as the primary stopper, while Hasan and Ritam occupy the left and right centre-back positions to provide cover. The defensive unit functions as a narrow defensive block. Ayush Raj and Ayush Mahato act as attacking wing backs, tasked to provide the width and stretch the pitch when the team has the ball. They must also track back quickly to support the three central defenders when the opposition attacks the flanks.

The midfield utilizes a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Rangan and Trishir work as the two central midfielders, tasked to protect the defensive line and recycle possession. Rangan often looks to shield the defence, while Trishir seeks to carry the ball forward to link the play. This duo must work to compress the midfield and prevent opponents from playing through the center. They act as the bridge between the back five and the front three, moving the ball out from the back to the attackers.

The attacking front three operates with a central striker and two wide players. Soumaydip plays as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and fight for long balls. Biprojit and Subhradip act as wide wingers who stay high up the pitch to pin the last defender. Biprojit and Subhradip often cut inside to create space for the wing backs to overlap. When the team wins the ball, the instruction is to go direct to the front three to catch the opposition before they can get organized.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads from the wing backs and wingers working in tandem. The extra defenders in the back five provide great compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to find gaps in the middle. The team can also use the speed of transition to move from a low block to a heavy attack in seconds.

The team relies on a robust defensive unit and quick vertical play to punish opponents. This formation is best suited for facing teams that play with a high line and leave space behind their defenders.
