Talleres relies on a high press and rapid transitions through a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and hit the opposition quickly before they can settle. The team seeks to stretch the defence by using wide players and deep support to create mismatches in the final third.

Ruffino operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. Behind the midfield, Vargas acts as the central anchor to win the header and clear the lines when under pressure. He is supported by Gonzalez and Tregartten who form a narrow defensive block to deny the turn and protect the central zone. The width is provided by attacking wing backs Piña and Stabile. Piña pushes up to overlap the winger while Stabile looks to provide balance on the left side. This defensive group works to squeeze the space and force a long ball from the opponent.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to manage the center of the pitch. Moran and Jara work to compress the midfield and intercept passes before they reach the final third. Jara helps to shield the defence while Moran looks to carry the ball forward to link the lines. They must be ready to pick up runners and track back if the ball is lost. This duo connects the back five to the attacking front three, ensuring the team can recycle possession when needed.

In the attacking phase, Talleres uses three attackers to pin the last defender. Rodriguez acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Primo plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create space for Stabile. On the right, Felix stays wide to stretch the defence and deliver crosses. The front line is tasked to press from the front to trigger a press in the mid-block. This movement creates runs in behind and allows the team to attack in combinations during quick transitions.

One major strength of this Talleres formation is the ability to create wide overloads through the movement of Piña and Stabile. By pushing the wing backs high, they force the opposition to defend much more territory. Another advantage is the compactness when defending in a low block, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the lines. This setup allows the team to switch play quickly and isolate wide players in one on one situations.

This formation focuses on defensive solidity and aggressive verticality. It is best suited for games against teams that play with high lines and can be caught on the break.
