This front line is designed to create runs in behind and isolation in one on one situations. When the team wins the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition to catch the opponent out of position.

Man City gains a significant tactical advantage through the ability to create wide overloads when the wing backs join the attack. The heavy presence of ERLING and the inverted movements of PHIL and RAYAN also create numerical superiority in the final third.
