Brighton plays a high press game with a 4-3-3 formation. The goal is to win the ball back high up the pitch and quickly progress through the thirds to catch the opponent out of position. This lineup relies on verticality and intense pressure to dominate games.

Jason stays between the posts to act as the first line of build up. The defensive unit works in a flat back four where JAOUEN plays as the left back and COSTINHA operates as the right back. PASCAL and MICHAEL form the central pairing, with PASCAL tasked to step into midfield to create a numerical advantage while MICHAEL covers the space behind him. The defenders aim to play short from the back to recycle possession and build attacks carefully.

The midfield is a three man midfield with a carrier to drive the play forward. MALICK and PASCAL work in the central areas to squeeze the space and win the second ball in the middle of the pitch. MATT plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to connect the lines. MATT looks to receive on the half-turn and play through the lines to find the forwards. This trio works to compress the midfield and prevent the opposition from playing through the center.

Brighton uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. MAXIM and PROMISE act as wide wingers who cut inside to create goalscoring chances. CHARALAMPOS acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the front line. The wingers look to isolate a one on one wide or pull wide to deliver early crosses into the box. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition, allowing the defensive unit to win the ball back quickly.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Brighton. The high press allows the team to win it back high up the pitch and attack immediately. There is a great ability to create wide overloads when the full backs push up to join the wingers. The movement of MATT allows the team to find space between the lines, creating chaos for the opposition defense.

The 4-3-3 formation is built for a high intensity game based on aggressive pressing and quick transitions. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
