Nottm Forest seeks to dominate the pitch through a high press and rapid transitions in a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to squeeze the space in the opponent half and use the width of the pitch to stretch the defence. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and move forward with speed to catch the opposition before they can settle.

In goal, MATZ acts as the first line of defense and helps play out from the back. The back three consists of JAIR, MURILLO, and NIKOLA. MURILLO plays as the left centre-back and is known for his strength and ability to carry the ball forward. JAIR and NIKOLA provide a solid central presence, with NIKOLA often acting as a covering defender while JAIR defends the central zone. The defensive unit functions as a compact block, with the three centre-backs shifting together to block the runner and deny central passing lanes.

The midfield works in a flat four to control the central areas and the flanks. NECO and NICOLÒ operate as wide midfielders who provide much of the team width. NECO plays as the left midfielder and is tasked to overlap the winger, while NICOLÒ works on the right to provide service. In the center, NICOLÁS and XAVER form a double pivot to shield the defence. XAVER helps to recycle possession and connects the lines, while NICOLÁS presses aggressively to win the ball back in the middle.

The attacking front line uses three attackers to pin the last defender. DAN and MORGAN operate as wide wingers, with DAN cutting inside from the left and MORGAN looking to isolate a one on one on the right. IGOR acts as the lone striker and a pressing centre forward, working to find the feet of the striker and disrupt the opposition build up. The attack relies on combinations in the final third, using the width provided by the midfielders to create space for runs in behind or to deliver a cross on the run.

Nottm Forest gains tactical advantages through wide overloads when the wingers and wide midfielders combine. This formation also allows for the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for the opponent to play out from the back. The presence of strong centre-backs like MURILLO ensures the team remains difficult to break down when they drop into a mid block.
