The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and creators. Alex operates as the attacking ten behind the striker to link the lines and find pockets of space. Tom and Harrison occupy the central roles to control the tempo and connect the defence to the front three. Harrison works to press aggressively to win the ball high, while Tom helps to recycle possession and drive forward with the ball. This unit is vital for squeezing the space in the middle of the pitch.

In the attacking phase, Fulham employs three attackers across the front. Rodrigo works as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and harass the opposition back line.
