LUCAS (PERRI) · NICCOLÒ (FORTINI) · PIETRO (COMUZZO) · ERAY (CÖMERT) · CRISTIANO (BIRAGHI) · GVIDAS (GINEITIS) · CESARE (CASADEI) · KIAN (FITZ-JIM) · NIKOLA (VLASIC) · CHÉ (ADAMS) · GIOVANNI (SIMEONE)Torino aims to control the tempo and press high to win the ball back quickly using a 4-3-3. This formation relies on a vertical style of play that looks to break the line through quick transitions. The lineup is built to maintain control of the central areas while using wide players to stretch the defence.
Lucas acts as the last line of defence for Torino. The back four operates as a flat back four that can step up to set the offside trap or drop into a low block. Cristiano plays as the left back to provide width, while Niccolò occupies the right back position. In the middle, Eray and Pietro form the central pairing, with Eray acting as a ball playing defender to help play short from the back. Pietro focuses on being dominant in the air to defend set pieces and clear the lines when under pressure.
The midfield works as a three man midfield with a carrier to link the units. Cesare operates in the right central midfield role to shield the defence and win the second ball. Gvidas plays as the left central midfielder, looking to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive and attacking lines. Kian operates as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and find the feet of the striker. This unit works to compress the midfield and deny the pivot of the opposition.
Torino uses three attackers across the front to create constant pressure. Giovanni plays as a lone striker, acting as a target man to hold up the ball and lay it off to oncoming runners. Nikola plays as a left winger who stays wide to pull defenders away from the middle, while Ché acts as an inverted winger who likes to cut inside to shoot or pass. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. This setup creates many runs in behind and allows the wide players to receive the ball in one on one situations.
The team gains a huge advantage from the ability to press high in coordinated waves with the front three. They also benefit from the speed of transition when Kian or the wingers find space. The tactical setup allows the wide defenders to overlap the winger to create overloads in the final third.
This 4-3-3 is a high energy formation designed to dominate possession and squeeze the space in the middle. It is best suited for games against opponents who struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
