The team focuses on a heavy counter attacking style using a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to absorb pressure and strike quickly through the middle and out wide when space opens up. By sitting deep and keeping the lines tight, the side waits for the opposition to commit bodies forward before looking to hit in behind.

Jahidul plays between the posts to organize the defense. The back line consists of a back three with Rasel acting as the central defender to sweep behind the others. Sharif operates as the right centre back while Jahid covers the left side of the central trio. Kawsar and Belal act as attacking wing backs to provide width, meaning they must track back to form a five man block when the team sits deep. This defensive unit works to protect the central zone and force the opposition wide.

A three man midfield controls the central area of the pitch. Biplob and TAMIM work as the two central midfielders to shield the defense and win the second ball. Shamim plays as the attacking ten, acting as the link between the holding players and the front two. TAMIM and Biplob look to recycle possession and find Shamim in the pockets of space. When the team wins the ball, Shamim attempts to drive forward to support the strikers.

The attack utilizes two forwards in a partnership to stretch the opposition. Saddam and Rashedul operate as the two strikers, looking to run in behind the defenders. They often combine in tight spaces to pull the opposition center backs out of position. While the strikers hold up the ball, Kawsar and Belal push high to provide crosses. This formation relies on quick transitions where the forwards press the back line to force a long ball and then break quickly.

One major strength of this 5-3-2 formation is the compactness when defending in a low block. The narrow defensive block makes it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. Another advantage is the ability to create wide overloads when Kawsar and Belal overlap the wingers or move into high positions. This creates a threat in transition, allowing the team to move from a deep defensive position to an attacking one in seconds.

This formation is defined by its defensive solidity and rapid transition play. It is best suited for matches against teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their high line.
