Wesley operates as a left wing back to provide width, while Molina acts as an attacking right wing back to overlap the winger. This unit stays together to ensure they do not get caught out during transitions.

The midfield functions as a double pivot designed to hold the center of the pitch. Cristante works to shield the defense and win the second ball, often dropping deep to help the back line. Konè acts as the carrier to drive forward with the ball and progress through the thirds. Together, they connect the defensive unit to the front three by recycling possession and making sure the team is not overrun in the middle.

In the final third, the team utilizes three attackers to pin the last defender. Malen acts as a pressing center forward to force long balls from the opposition. Leweling and Dybala operate as wide players, with Dybala often cutting inside to create chances in tight spaces. Malen looks to run in behind to receive through balls, while the wing backs provide the service to allow the attackers to combine in the box.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through wide overloads. When Wesley and Molina push high, they create two on one situations against the opposition full backs.
