FCSB looks to dominate games through a high press and direct attacking play using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to overwhelm the opposition in the final third and win the ball high up the pitch. By spreading the field, the lineup seeks to create many chances through quick transitions and constant pressure on the opponent's back line.

Tarnovanu stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat back four with Cretu acting as the right back and Radunovic playing as the left back. Nghezana and Dawa form the central pair, where Nghezana acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks while Dawa focuses on being dominant in the air. The defensive unit works to squeeze the space and keep the lines high to support the pressing intensity of the forwards.

The midfield operates as a double pivot to manage the center of the pitch. Gnahore and Paolo work to shield the defense and win the second ball. Gnahore often looks to carry the ball forward to link the defensive and attacking lines, while Paolo stays closer to the center to protect against counter attacks. This pairing must be disciplined to avoid being bypassed, especially when the team commits many players forward in the attacking phase.

FCSB utilizes four attackers to stretch the defense. Miculescu and Popescu act as wide wingers, with Miculescu hugging the touchline and Popescu looking to cut inside to create goalscoring opportunities. Up front, Cisotti and TBD work as a two forwards partnership. Cisotti often acts as a target man to hold up the ball, while TBD looks for runs in behind the defense. This front line is designed to press from the front and force a long ball from the opposition.

The primary tactical advantages of this formation are the ability to create wide overloads and the capacity to press high in coordinated waves. By using four attackers, FCSB can pin the last defender and isolate wide players in one on one situations. The double pivot of Gnahore and Paolo provides a base that allows the wingers and full backs to push up and support the attack.
