The midfield operates with a wide pairing of BAKU and DIMARCO. DIMARCO acts as an attacking wing back, looking to overlap the winger and whip it in toward the box. BAKU provides width on the opposite flank. In the central areas, BARELLA and ZIELINSKI operate as a two man midfield. BARELLA is known for his high pressing intensity and ability to carry the ball forward, while ZIELINSKI connects the defensive and attacking lines with his passing range. Together, they work to win the second ball and recycle possession to keep the pressure on.

The attacking front three features THURAM and C.JONES on the flanks with LAUTARO as the lone striker. THURAM plays as an inverted winger who looks to cut inside and run at the defence. C.JONES operates on the right, providing width and looking to isolate a one on one wide. LAUTARO leads the line as a pressing centre forward who works to pin the last defender and link up play between the lines. Inter attack in combinations, using the movement of the forwards to create runs in behind or allow the wing backs to arrive late into the box.

Inter offers several tactical advantages through this 3-4-3. The team can create wide overloads from the movement of DIMARCO and the wingers.
