The midfield operates with a two man central pairing supported by wide midfielders. LA TORRE and D'AGOSTINO occupy the central spaces to protect the back three and recycle possession. They work to compress the midfield and deny the turn to the opposition. On the flanks, MORANDUZZO and SORINO act as wide midfielders to provide width and support the attack. This setup allows the team to shift between shapes to ensure they always have a man to mark runners in the half spaces.

Inter employs three attackers across the front to maintain constant pressure. CARRARA leads the line as a lone striker to find the feet of the striker and hold up the ball.
