Bari relies on a direct and vertical style of play using a 5-2-3 formation. The lineup focuses on defensive solidity and quick transitions to catch the opposition off guard. By maintaining a strong defensive base, the team seeks to win the ball and move it forward rapidly to the front three.

Cerofolini guards the goal as the primary shot stopper. In front of him, a back five provides a heavy defensive block. Grgić sits in the center as the main presence to win the header and clear the lines. Mantovani operates as the right centre-back to cover the space, while Elia plays as the left centre-back to ensure the line remains tight. On the flanks, Mogoş acts as an attacking wing back on the right to provide width, while Celli functions as an attacking wing back on the left to stretch the defence. The whole unit works to hold a compact shape when out of possession.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to protect the back five. Darboe and Maggiore operate in the center to control the middle third. Darboe works to shield the defence and disrupt play, while Maggiore acts as the carrier to drive forward with the ball and connect the lines. They must work hard to compress the midfield and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines. This pairing ensures that the team can transition from a deep block to an attacking phase by moving the ball quickly from the defenders to the front three.

Bari utilizes three attackers across the front to pressure the opposition back line. Gomez acts as the lone striker and works to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Della Morte plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create chances, while Butić stays wide on the right to whip it in or deliver early crosses. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads when Mogoş and Celli push high to support the wingers.
