The goal is to squeeze the space in the middle and force the opposition to play wide before winning the ball back high up the pitch.

Muslera acts as the last line of defense behind a flat back four. Mancuso operates as the right back to provide width, while Arzamendia plays as the left back. In the heart of the defense, Nuñez/LGP and Palacios defend the central zone. Nuñez/LGP and Palacios must hold the line to maintain a compact shape, ensuring they do not get stretched by quick passes. The defensive unit stays close together to deny the turn to any oncoming attackers.

The midfield works as a five man unit to dominate the center of the pitch. Piovi acts as a single pivot to shield the defense and intercept passes. Beside him, Castro/Baltasar and Tobio Burgos occupy the central roles, where they can press in pairs to disrupt the opponent. Correa/Palacios operates as an attacking ten behind the lone striker, looking to find space between the lines. This group connects the defensive and attacking lines by recycling possession and finding the feet of the striker when the chance arises.

Estudiantes (LP) utilizes a lone striker in Carrillo to lead the line. Carrillo acts as a pressing centre-forward to harass the opposition back line and hold up the ball for the arriving midfielders.
