They work to pin the last defender and create space for the wide players. Aasgaard and Ambrose act as wide wingers who look to cut inside and create chances. Aasgaard and Ambrose often look to isolate a one on one wide or find the feet of the striker to play through the lines.

Anderlecht gains a massive advantage through their ability to press high in coordinated waves. By placing four attackers and four midfielders near the opposition defense, they can squeeze the space and force a long ball. Another strength is the numerical superiority in the final third which allows the team to overwhelm the opposition box during transitions.
