FCSB looks to dominate through a heavy offensive presence using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to play with high intensity and rapid verticality, looking to stretch the opposition with four attackers constantly threatening the defensive line. The goal for FCSB is to pin the opposition back and win the ball high up the pitch to catch them in transition.

Tarnovanu stands between the posts to command the defensive unit. The back line operates as a flat back four, with Cretu and Radunovic acting as full backs who must manage the wide areas. Nghezana and Dawa form the central pairing, where Nghezana acts as a ball playing defender to initiate play while Dawa focuses on defending zonally and winning the header. This defensive unit must remain compact to avoid being exposed when the team pushes forward.

The midfield consists of a double pivot designed to provide a layer of protection for the back four. Paolo and Gnahore occupy the central roles, where they must work to intercept passes and recycle possession to the wide areas. Gnahore and Paolo act as the engine, tasked to shield the defence and connect the back line to the front four. They must remain disciplined to prevent the opposition from playing through the middle when the wingers are caught high.

In the final third, the team utilizes four attackers to create constant pressure. Korenica and Miculescu operate as wide wingers, with Korenica looking to cut inside and Miculescu staying wide to provide width. Cisotti and Drăguș work as a two forwards partnership in the center. Cisotti acts as a target man to hold up the ball, while Drăguș looks to make runs in behind the last defender. This front line is designed to attack in combinations and force the opposition to defend deep in their own box.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs push up to support the wingers. The four attackers also allow FCSB to press from the front in coordinated waves, making it difficult for the opponent to play out from the back. This heavy offensive lineup forces the opposing centre backs into constant one on one situations.

This 4-2-4 formation focuses on high pressing and overwhelming the opponent in the final third. It is best suited for games where the team needs to chase a result or play against a low block.
