Fulham focuses on a high press and verticality through a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and quickly progress through the thirds to catch the opposition off guard. Benjamin acts as the last line of defence in goal. The back line works as a flat back four with Ryan at left back and Kenny at right back. Both full backs are expected to push high to provide width while Jorge and David form the central pairing. Jorge operates as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back, while David provides cover and remains ready to sweep behind a high line. This unit maintains a high line to squeeze the space between the lines.

The midfield functions with a three-man midfield containing a mix of roles. CÉSAR plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to connect the lines and operate in the half-spaces. Manuel and Shea act as the engine, with Manuel driving forward with the ball and Shea shielding the defence to deny the pivot. Together, they work to compress the midfield and win the second ball. This trio is responsible for recycling possession and finding the feet of the striker when the team builds play.

Up front, the attacking line utilizes three attackers to pressure the opposition back line. Rodrigo plays as a lone striker, often acting as a pressing centre-forward to force long balls. Emile and Alex occupy the wide positions as inverted wingers who cut inside to create space for the full backs. This setup allows the team to attack in combinations, using the movement of the wingers to create runs in behind or allow for cutbacks from the byline.

Fulham offers significant tactical advantages through their ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, the team can win the ball high up the pitch. Another strength is the wide overloads created when Kenny and Ryan overlap the winger, forcing the opposition to defend wide areas. This creates many one on one situations for the attackers.
