Jacobo and Trevoh sit as the two central defenders, tasked with playing out from the back and covering space if the team steps up. Jacobo and Trevoh must maintain a high line to keep the unit compact, while Yan and Álex provide width by pushing up to overlap the attackers.

The midfield features a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative specialists. Nico operates in the advanced space as an attacking ten, looking to find pockets of space between the lines. Lucas and Máximo occupy the central roles, with Lucas often looking to drive forward with the ball and Máximo working to protect the area in front of the defense. This trio connects the defense and attack, ensuring the ball moves quickly from the back four to the front three.

The attacking unit consists of three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Moise acts as the lone striker, looking to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Martin and Assane operate as wide wingers who aim to cut inside and create chances. Martin and Assane press the opposition back line aggressively to force a long ball, while Moise works to pin the last defender to create space for the wingers to arrive late into the box.

One major advantage for Como is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using Nico and the front three to trigger a press immediately. The formation also offers wide overloads when Yan and Álex push forward to support Martin and Assane. This creates many one on one situations on the flanks, allowing the team to bypass the midfield and hit the opposition defense with pace.
