Lecce relies on a vertical style of play using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup focuses on quick transitions and direct attacking movements to catch the opposition off guard. The goal is to move the ball from defense to attack as fast as possible to catch the opponent before they can get organized.

Marco plays in goal to oversee the defensive line. The back four features Ali as the right back and Antonino as the left back, both of whom are expected to push high and overlap to provide width. In the center, Gaby and Jamil form the defensive pairing, acting as the main blockers against any central runs. Gaby and Jamil must hold a high line to squeeze the space and win the second ball, while ensuring they can cover the space left behind when the full backs push forward.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier. Oumar and Sadik operate in the central areas to shield the defense and win possession in the middle third. Oumar works to protect the space in front of the center backs, while Sadik aims to carry the ball forward into the half spaces. Youssef plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, acting as the link between the midfield and the front three. Youssef works to find the feet of the striker and play through the lines to create chances.

Lecce utilizes three attackers across the front. Nikola acts as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the flanks, Konan and Omri act as wide wingers who stretch the defense by hugging the touchline. This allows Konan and Omri to isolate their markers in one on one situations or receive the ball to whip it in towards the box. When the team loses possession, Nikola, Konan, and Omri are expected to press from the front to trigger a press immediately.

A major strength of this Lecce lineup is the ability to create wide overloads through the movement of Ali and Antonino. By having the full backs push up, the team forces the opposition to defend more space. Another advantage is the speed of transition, as the team can move from a mid-block to a direct attack in seconds. The verticality provided by Youssef and the wingers makes it very hard for opponents to settle.

The 4-3-3 formation provides a high intensity attacking profile built on quick ball movement. It is best suited for matches against teams that play a high line and can be caught on the counter at pace.
