PSG plays with a high press and a heavy emphasis on verticality in a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and quickly push into the final third. The goal is to use quick transitions to catch opponents out of position. PSG looks to control matches by maintaining high intensity and squeezing the space in the opponent half.

LUCAS stays between the posts to provide a reliable presence in goal. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four that can step up to set the offside trap. MARQUINHOS acts as a ball playing centre back with strong positioning, while WILLIAN covers the space behind. NUNO operates as an attacking full back to provide width, and ACHRAF pushes high to support the attack. This defensive line works together to hold a high line and compress the game.

The midfield is a three man midfield with a single pivot. FABIÁN sits in front of the defence to shield the back four and recycle possession. VITINHA and JOÃO act as the engine, with VITINHA looking to carry the ball forward and JOÃO making late runs into the box. This trio connects the defensive unit to the front line by playing through the lines and finding teammates in space. They work to win the second ball and ensure the team stays compact when the ball is lost.

The attacking front line uses three attackers across the front. OUSMANE plays as a pressing centre forward to disrupt the opposition build up. KHVICHA and DÉSIRÉ occupy the wide areas, with KHVICHA acting as an inverted winger who likes to cut inside to create chances. DÉSIRÉ provides width and looks to get to the byline to deliver crosses. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and create opportunities for the midfielders to intercept.

One major tactical advantage of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back high up the pitch. Another strength is the wide overloads created when NUNO and ACHRAF push up to overlap the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the final third and forces the opposition to defend deep. The speed of transition allows the team to hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can recover.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high energy and quick ball movement to break down deep blocks. It is best suited for matches against teams that play a low block and struggle with pace on the break.
