The midfield is a three man midfield with a single pivot. FABIÁN sits in front of the defence to shield the back four and recycle possession. VITINHA and JOÃO act as the engine, with VITINHA looking to carry the ball forward and JOÃO making late runs into the box. This trio connects the defensive unit to the front line by playing through the lines and finding teammates in space. They work to win the second ball and ensure the team stays compact when the ball is lost.

The attacking front line uses three attackers across the front. OUSMANE plays as a pressing centre forward to disrupt the opposition build up. KHVICHA and DÉSIRÉ occupy the wide areas, with KHVICHA acting as an inverted winger who likes to cut inside to create chances. DÉSIRÉ provides width and looks to get to the byline to deliver crosses. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and create opportunities for the midfielders to intercept.

One major tactical advantage of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back high up the pitch. Another strength is the wide overloads created when NUNO and ACHRAF push up to overlap the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the final third and forces the opposition to defend deep. The speed of transition allows the team to hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can recover.
