CS Marítimo aims to control games through a high press and quick transitions using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to stretch the opposition and create chances through wide areas while maintaining a strong central presence. The lineup focuses on winning the ball high up the pitch and moving the ball forward with speed to catch the opponent out of position.

ALFONSO acts as the last line of defence in goal. The back four operates as a zonal line with GÁBOR and NATHANAEL acting as the central defenders to hold the line and defend the area. GÁBOR provides coverage while NATHANAEL works to intercept passes. On the flanks, TOMÁS and NÍLTON play as attacking full backs who push high to provide width. They are tasked to overlap the winger to create numerical advantages in the wide areas while ensuring they track back to maintain a compact shape when the team loses possession.

The midfield functions with a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. RODRI and IBRAHIM work to occupy the central spaces, with RODRI often dropping to help connect the defence to the attack. IBRAHIM is tasked to carry the ball forward and drive into the half spaces. MAXIME plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space between the lines and arrive late into the box to score. This unit works to squeeze the space in the middle and win the second ball to keep the pressure on.

In the final third, CS Marítimo uses three attackers across the front. JOSÉ plays as a pressing centre-forward who works to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for others. SIMO and SAMUEL act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring opportunities, often leaving space for the full backs to exploit. They look to play one-two combinations to break the line and aim to get to the byline to deliver crosses into the box. The front three press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers specific tactical advantages such as the ability to press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back quickly. By using attacking full backs alongside inverted wingers, the team can create wide overloads to pull the opposition defence apart. The presence of MAXIME in the hole also allows for quick combinations in tight spaces to bypass a mid-block.

The 4-3-3 formation provides CS Marítimo with a balanced way to attack and defend. This lineup is best suited for matches against teams that play a high line and can be punished on the transition.
