Celtic focuses on a high press and vertical play using a 4-3-3. The lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and attack the opposition defense quickly through direct passes and rapid movement. This formation allows the team to maintain control while looking to break the lines with speed.

Sam acts as the goalkeeper to start the build up. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four where Alistair serves as the right back to provide width and Kieran plays as the left back. In the center, Cameron and Auston form the pairing to defend the box and hold the line. Cameron and Auston must be ready to step up and squeeze the space when the team presses high, while Alistair and Kieran must track back to cover the wide areas.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a playmaker. Oxlade plays in the right central role to drive forward with the ball and connect the defense to the attack. Callum occupies the left central position to help recycle possession and press in a mid-block. Benjamin plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, operating in the space between the lines to find the feet of the forwards. This group works to protect the center and ensure the team can transition from defense to attack without losing control.

Celtic utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Camilo acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. On the wings, Hyun-Jun and Haissem act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create width. Hyun-Jun and Haissem are expected to cut inside to create central presence or whip it in for the striker. The movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow the midfielders to arrive late into the box.

This formation offers specific tactical advantages for Celtic. The team can create wide overloads when Alistair and Kieran push forward to overlap the wingers. There is also a high level of compactness when defending a mid-block, making it difficult for opponents to play through the center. The ability to win the ball back high up the pitch allows for immediate transitions.

The 4-3-3 formation provides a balanced way to dominate possession while remaining dangerous on the break. This lineup is best suited for games against teams that play a high defensive line or struggle with intense pressing.
