Hearts focuses on a direct and vertical style of football using a 4-3-3. The lineup is built to attack quickly and press high up the pitch to win the ball back early. This formation aims to stretch the opposition and create chances through rapid transitions.

ZANDER plays behind a flat back four to organize the defensive line. LAURENT and JAMIE operate as the central defenders, with JAMIE acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks. STEPHEN plays as an attacking full back on the left to provide width, while CHRISTIAN holds a more conservative position on the right. The defensive unit works to squeeze the space between the lines and ensure they do not get caught too high when the ball is lost.

The midfield uses a three-man setup with a focus on controlling the center of the pitch. OISIN and TOM act as the central engine, with OISIN looking to drive forward with the ball while TOM works to shield the defence and win the second ball. YAN plays in the advanced role behind the striker, acting as the link between the midfield and the front three. YAN is tasked to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines to find the wingers.

Hearts utilizes three attackers across the front to keep the opposition defense stretched. ELTON plays as a lone striker who works to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. SABAH and ROGERS operate as inverted wingers on the flanks, frequently cutting inside to create numerical superiority in the middle. The forwards are expected to press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. This movement creates space for the full backs to overlap and deliver crosses into the box.

A major advantage for Hearts is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build out from the back. The presence of YAN behind ELTON creates a threat in the half-spaces, often leading to quick one-two combinations. The team can also switch play rapidly to isolate SABAH or ROGERS in one on one situations against the opposing full backs.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high energy and quick transitions to overwhelm the opponent. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back or defend in wide areas.
