Starting Lineup
VIC (CHAMBAERE) · DENZEL (DE ROEVE) · MASSIRÉ (SYLLA) · NOHIM (CHIBANI) · NIKKI (HAVENAAR) · ROB (SCHOOFS) · ANOUAR AIT (EL HADJ) · DARIUS (OLARU) · RELEBOHILE (MOFOKENG) · DYLAN (AQUINO) · MATEO (BIONDIC)Union SG aims to control games through a high press and rapid verticality in a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and use quick combinations to puncture defensive lines. The lineup focuses on aggressive movement to stretch the opposition and create scoring opportunities through high turnovers.
VIC stays between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four where DENZEL and NIKKI provide width from the flanks. DENZEL acts as a defensive wing back to hold the line, while NIKKI can push higher to support the attack. In the middle, MASSIRÉ and NOHIM act as the central defenders, with MASSIRÉ often stepping into midfield to break the line with his passing and NOHIM providing cover to sweep behind the high line.
A three-man midfield provides the engine for Union SG. ANOUAR AIT sits in a deep role to shield the defence and recycle possession. ROB works as an inverted eight, driving forward with the ball to connect the defensive and attacking lines. DARIUS plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find the feet of the striker or arrive late into the box. This midfield trio works to compress the midfield and ensure the team stays compact when defending.
The attacking front line uses three attackers to pin the last defender. RELEBOHILE and DYLAN act as wide wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. RELEBOHILE prefers to hug the touchline to spread the defence, while DYLAN looks to isolate a one-on-one wide. MATEO plays as a pressing centre-forward, working to harass the opposition back line and hold up the ball for the runners. The attack is designed to create runs in behind and deliver early crosses to attack the far post.
Union SG gains a major advantage through the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, the team can win the ball back high up the pitch. Another strength is the speed of transition when the midfield trio recovers possession. This allows the team to quickly switch play or hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can settle.
This 4-3-3 formation relies on intense pressing and quick vertical passing to dominate territory. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
