The midfield consists of a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative players. Mohammed plays as the advanced ten behind the striker, acting as the primary link between the lines. Marco and Ryan sit deeper to connect the defence and attack, with Ryan driving forward with the ball to progress through the thirds. Marco is tasked to shield the defence and recycle possession. Together, they work to compress the midfield and win the second ball to keep the pressure on the opponent.

Standard utilizes three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Andi acts as a pressing centre-forward, constantly working to harass the opposition centre-backs. Tobias and Sylvester operate as wide wingers, with Tobias preferring to cut inside to create space for Dimitri to overlap. Sylvester stays wide to stretch the defence and prepare to whip it in.
