Miguel and Manoël operate as wide centre-backs, staying narrow to defend the middle but ready to step up when the team pushes forward. The unit works together to maintain a high line, forcing the opposition into long balls that the defenders can win.

The midfield is a crowded engine room designed to dominate possession. Art operates as a single pivot to shield the defence and recycle possession. Ahead of him, Sascha and Yvan act as central midfielders to connect the lines and drive forward with the ball. Florian and Robert operate in the half-spaces to create chances, with Robert acting as an advanced midfielder who finds pockets of space to arrive late into the box. This group works to compress the midfield and deny the opponent time on the ball.

LASK utilizes two forwards to lead the attack. Moses and Christoph work as a partnership in the front line, often using combinations to break the line.
