Bahia aims to control matches through high pressing and quick transitions, utilizing a 4-3-3 formation. Guido plays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back four operates with a high line to squeeze the space, led by Kanu and Marco who serve as the central defenders. Kanu provides aerial strength and coverage, while Marco acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks. Erick and Zé act as overlapping full backs, pushing high to provide width and support the attackers. This defensive group works to keep the team compact and ready to intercept long balls.

The midfield relies on a three man midfield with a carrier to link the lines. Nicolás plays as the left sided midfielder to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively. Rodrigo sits slightly deeper to shield the defence and recycle possession when needed. Michel acts as an attacking ten behind the striker, finding pockets of space to create chances. Together, these players help Bahia progress through the thirds and control the tempo of the game.

Bahia uses three attackers across the front to maintain constant pressure. Willian acts as a pressing centre forward, working to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for others. Mateo and Cristian operate as wide wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring opportunities. Mateo looks to beat his man on the flank, while Cristian often pulls wide to deliver crosses. Their movements create runs in behind and allow for quick combinations in the final third.

The primary tactical advantages of this formation are the ability to press high in coordinated waves and create wide overloads. When Erick and Zé push forward, they create numerical superiority against the opposition full backs. This setup also allows for rapid speed of transition, catching the opponent out of position when the ball is won high up the pitch.
